Mrs. Hoke's class made their project runway dresses today!


Tips from our SLP staff:
Modeling is very important to helping your child learn how to pronounce words. Demonstrate how to say challenging words by saying the words slowly and using a mirror together to see how the mouth moves to make the sounds.

Mrs. Smith's class had fun at field day!







Yesterday the incoming 6th graders from Cookson visited the Troy JH. They made Monsters and then cooked Monster Cookie Energy bites. They took a tour of the JH and were able to eat lunch in the cafeteria. The staff members are super excited to see them back here next year!

Tips from our SLP staff:
Reading is essential to speech and language development. Start off with simple books that repeat words or phrases. Reading a book over again allows them to practice their language skills. As they grow, use books to have them answer questions.

Under the amazing direction of Mrs. Babylon, the CLC students worked together to create one awesome landscaping mosaic featuring their mascot, the CLC Seal.

Your daily interactions with your child are very important! Make sure to talk clearly and model any words they may be having trouble with. Clear, simple, and consistent speech is best. Make sure to give them time to respond.
