A huge shout-out to Heather Davey, Katie Anderson, Jodi Egbert, Celia Gaier, and Gobby Chesko. They have spent many hours creating an RTI process for speech-language that is well-researched, student-centered, and impeccably executed. Thank you for your hard work!

Special thank you to Diane Herron from Olivia Mumaw's classroom at Washington Primary. She offered to fill in for a classroom that couldn't find a sub when her room was low on attendance. Great example of Student Centered Service and Professionalism!

Ms. Peters' room (Heywood) is awesome! Students learn many important lessons: internal regulation, team work, losing with grace, humble winning, friendship, conflict management, and building healthy relationships with adults. The staff collaborates to create great experiences!

Bethany Whidden (SLP supervisor) wanted to take a moment to recognize the joint efforts of Rosemary Frey and Kim Francis who were instructing the students in a collaborative SLP/OT group lesson. They had clearly spent time coordinating and prepping so that the activities they developed were appropriate for the abilities of the students. Sometimes designing group lessons can be a daunting task due to the widely varied needs of our students, and this group was artfully done. As the students engaged in the group activities, the classroom staff (shout out to Teresa Wagner, Cindy Graham, and Felicia Booker) helped keep them on task while Kim and Rosemary led the activities. This was such an awesome example of professionals working together to meet the needs of students and it was wonderful to see.
