Mrs. Prenger's class practiced their communication skills in some mock medical appointments with students in the first responder's classes at UVCC. They also were able to get lunch at Cornerstone and practiced advocating for their own needs. Thanks for Troy Foundation!
Congratulations to Mrs. Durbin’s class for donating the most food items for the Troy JH Thanksgiving food drive and winning a pie party! The students learned about the importance of giving back and helping those in need in the community.
Ms. Chasity's class has been working with our SLP, Ms. Katie, on the functional communication skills of placing an order, asking for help, and making choices. Thanks to the Troy Foundation they were able take these lessons into the community.

Mrs. Durbin’s class celebrated their Friendsgiving today as a class by Watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then prepared and served a classroom feast just like the movie. They all said the jellybeans were the best part! Happy Thanksgiving!
Miss Embry’s class made Glass Gem Corn with pipe cleaners and beads. Her high school students earned Principal’s List for quarter 1 straight As!

Mrs. Smith's class read a story about Native American history. Today they made Fry Bread (a favorite overall) and Rain Sticks to celebrate Native American culture.
Mr. Hahn's class made breakfast for lunch today! French toast and scrambled eggs. The students enjoyed it!
Mrs. Smith's class went to Aullwood Nature Center to learn about Ecosystems. They also visited the Nature center to learn about Candles and their many uses. They were able to dip their own candle to bring home.

During a SS unit, Mrs. Peltier's students participated in Discover Dairy's "America's Favorite Calf" election. The students made campaign signs, hung them around the school and asked others to vote for Peony, their adopted calf. The results are in...and Peony won!

Mrs. Durbin’s class did a geography and life skills lesson this week and learned about all the different ways to travel in the world. The students each chose a dream vacation destination, and planned their own trip.
On Halloween day Mrs. Prenger’s class dressed up to join the other high schoolers for trick or treating. They also followed step by step directions to fold, draw, and color their own Frankenstein folding picture.
