This week Mrs. Naas and her class read about the solar eclipse. They made a recipe pretending it was a solar eclipse with toast, blue berry jam, and bananas. Next they made a solar eclipse on paper.
Over the last two weeks, Mrs. Ganiron's High School Culinary Arts class have been learning about plating and styling food. Today, they were tasked with plating/styling a new brownie dessert for a “restaurant" in town. They followed the tips they have learned, took their own pictures (then ate their own creations) and tomorrow they will finish up creating their visual menu! Our students had fun making Pretzel Flowers with our Speech Therapist, Mrs. Kiser. During this activity students practiced their communication skills and following directions.

Mrs. Smith's class made Solar Eclipse Survival kits which include: Sunny D, starburst, milky way, star crunch, sun chips, and cosmic brownies. They also made some safety eclipse watching glasses!!
Mrs Ruzicka's class did a combination craft/science activity to learn about what happens during an eclipse.

Starting the day off with a jelly bean tie dye experiment, taste tested some space themed Oreos for the eclipse, ended the day with a peeps experiment! Miss Embry's class is ready for spring break!

Art class with Mrs. Babylon is fun and through art exploration,self expression and creativity our students work on many skills: communication, fine motor, problem-solving, and social and emotional skills to name a few.
Fun times in Mrs. Mote's class! Students worked together to make slime. A student in her class also participated in Girls Night Out!

Mr. Peter's class enjoyed participating in the Lots of Socks campaign to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. They also made Easter baskets for some extra spring fun!
