On August 12, 2024, the Miami County ESC's Leadership Team gathered at the Warehouse in Troy, Ohio. Superintendent Larson led the meeting, focusing on goal-setting and preparation for the new school year.
Emphasizing mission alignment, problem-solving and team cohesion, this event set a positive tone for the upcoming school year.
On August 9, 2024, the Miami County ESC's All Staff-Opening Day Meeting took place at the Piqua High School. Bethany Whidden, Director of Student Services, hosted a fun and interactive "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" (ESC version) session, reviewing the ESC’s board policies, programs, and software. The guest speaker, Joshua Peach of Be Au Sm, delivered an inspirational presentation on “Living your Legacy?"
This event set a positive tone for the upcoming school year.
On August 8, 2024, our New Staff Orientation was held at the Miami County ESC Central Office hosting 60 of our new hires. Superintendent Larson started the day by discussing the Miami County ESC's Vision and Mission Statements as well as our Core Values. Making this a fun and interactive morning, a presentation was given on "HR, Payroll and Benefits" by Human Resources Coordinator, Melinda Hoffert, with an interactive quiz for the group requiring the use of cell phones.
The Miami County Administrators had a dynamic and engaging start to the school year at the Miami County Administrator's Conference on August 2, 2024. The guest speaker, Dr. Jim Van Allen, led the group in an energizing session focused on "The Power of Positive Leadership".
The Miami County Educational Service Center is looking for dedicated individuals to serve as paraprofessionals. Compensation now starting at $17.25/hour.
